Boys & Girls Club Unit – Vidalia, GA | Club Director

Latisha Collins has over 12 years of Boys & Girls Club experience serving the youth and Teens in the Lyons and Vidalia communities. She is a product and graduate of Vidalia Comprehensive High School. Mrs. Collins has served in numerous Boys & Girls Club positions and has held numerous job titles during her time in the movement. Mrs. Collins has served in every capacity at the club from preparing food, transporting children and representing the BGCTC at numerous Club events inside and outside of the club. She has completed numerous BGC professional training seminars and camps throughout her time here at the Club. Mrs. Collins is also one of the original Club staff that came from the initial start-up club location from Martin Luther King Street. She has proven herself to be a valued asset to the community, parents, teachers, and children. She is a true and natural advocate for children of all ages. She says that “The Kids and the Club hold a Special Place in Her Heart.” Mrs. Latisha Collins is the mother of four adult children who all attended the Boys & Girls Clubs after school program 

J.D. Rabun Club Unit – Lyons, GA | Club Director

Marcy Johnson-Lane is an up and coming Boys & Girls Club Movement leader and she currently serves as the Unit Director for the J.D. Rabun Boys & Girls Club in Lyons, Georgia. Mrs. Lane is a graduate and product of the Vidalia City School system and has made a name for herself for her “Let’s Get it Done Now Attitude.” Mrs. Lane has great attitude and much experience working with children from various walks of life and has herself been trained to better attend to the needs of children with special needs. Mrs. Lane worked for many years at the Vidalia City School System (Sally D. Meadows Elementary School) and has been able to bring her many talents to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toombs County for the last three years. Marcy has represented the BGCTC at national training events and regional events. She listens well and has taken the Club program in Lyons to different level and has increased her average daily attendance for kids to a new level. Mrs. Lane has really been an advocate for change and a breath of fresh air for the children and parents in Lyons, Georgia. She has brought a “Ton” of new ideas and practices to the children. Her parents show their appreciation by volunteering and assisting her club during many Club special events and activities. 

Boys & Girls Club Unit – Vidalia, GA | Teen Center Director

Vantresia Smith is the Club’s latest addition in leadership as the Teen Director. She fills this position with much experience and energy. When she is not at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toombs County, she serves as a high sought-after substitute teacher for the Vidalia City School system. She is in high demand from elementary to High school. She has an eye for teaching children and teens and has a great report with educators, coaches, school professionals, city leadership, and community leaders. In addition, Mrs. Smith taken it upon herself to build a bridge with parents because she realizes that “everything must start from home with our children.” Mrs. Smith has built her style from associating herself with professionals, principles, and superintendents at the schools. She carries much knowledge on how to interact with children of all ages and bring s that great knowledge to the Boys & Girls clubs of Toombs County. Mrs. Smith is the mother of three children and disciple is her road to success for her kids, Club kids, and her expectations are high for all that meet and she engages. Thank you for your spirit Mrs. Smith.
